  1. Speaking to your management team/clients to find out what they wantIT Manager Career
  2. Advise clients objectively on where IT might make a difference to the business
  3. Planning the stages of the project and how each affects the business
  4. Co-ordinating the project team
  5. Agreeing costs, timescales and standards to be met and monitoring these through the project
  6. Adjusting the plans where needed
  7. Making sure there is a smooth change over from the old system to the new one
  8. Keeping management and clients updated on progress
  9. Evaluation of each project stage and once completed
  10. Attract, motivate, coach and develop team members for high performance
  11. Understand strategy, business functions, decision-making and workflow
  12. Plan and manage successful projects, manage risks, costs, time and project teams
  13. Influence, build relationships, navigate politics, negotiate, manage conflicts
  14. Budget, forecast, manage cash flow, understand financial statements

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
